Why I'm Running

Throughout my life, I have always believed that the best leaders begin by listening.

When I returned home to Winnipeg in March 2026, I didn't start by making promises. Instead, I started asking questions.

I asked residents what they believed needed to change in Winnipeg and, more importantly, here in Mynarski Ward.

The response was overwhelming.

Thousands of residents shared their concerns, frustrations, ideas and hopes for the future.

I listened.

Those conversations became the foundation of my campaign and continue to shape my platform today.

My life experiences have given me a unique perspective on the challenges our community faces.

As a business owner, I understand the importance of creating jobs, managing budgets, solving problems and building strong teams.

As a Registered Nurse with more than 20 years of experience, including more than 15 years serving remote and northern communities as a Registered Nurse and Nurse in Charge, I have worked with people facing addiction, mental health challenges, homelessness, chronic illness and family crises. Those experiences taught me the importance of compassion, accountability and practical solutions.

As a REALTOR®, I see firsthand the challenges families face with housing affordability, neighbourhood revitalization and the dream of home ownership.

Most importantly, I am a father.

Like every parent, I want my children and future generations to grow up in safe neighbourhoods, have opportunities to succeed and feel proud of the community they call home.

I am not running because I think I have all the answers.

I am running because I believe residents deserve a councillor who will listen, report back honestly, ask the difficult questions and work with others to find practical solutions.

My campaign is built on four commitments: Accountability, Accessibility, Transparency, Reporting Back.

I believe government works best when it listens to the people it serves.

Residents are paying more. Residents expect better. Residents deserve better.
